You have been growing everyday, taller, smarter and ofcourse naughtier! When it comes to being naughty- i guess papas genes are to be solely blamed!

You are a little over two, and we did celebrate your birthday at your playschool in a very humble way, but the next one is going to be a grand one-Promise!

You have many friends at ur playschool and teachers love you and praise you all the time. Apparently you dont show any signs of being indisciplined outside the house! And people wont believe us if told how willful u are at home! Ah I personally have been blaming the drama on what they call as “the terrible twos”

You love being independant, And you love to mimic. Now we even sing and dance together – and i hold your cute little fingers over the tiny little keyboard organ we got you- play twinkle stars..

Your vocabulary is growing at a pace faster than i thought, and you manage to surprise me when you frame sentences these days. I cant quite count how many times do we sing your favorite “I love you- barney song” and “the A BC song”- everyday, a dozen repeats!

You have gotten to like my favorite cartoon too -Doremon! yay!

The one that that hasnt changed, and i am slowly starting to give up- is the fuss u create at mealtimes- U are SO PICKY!!

Just so that i recollect- the milestones that you have reached

1) You know a whole lot of alphabets

2) U know a dozen poems- well almost

3) You love scribbling on the walls. ! You love to play with roti dough

4) You love doing puzzles

5)You help me make our evening chai! with great interest

6)We seldom do some baking together

7)And the biggest of all – You are Potty trained woohoo!!!!!!!!

Ah and did i mention- when you wake up in the morning, hug and kiss me before i leave for office- my heart just melts- Cant thank you enough for the joy you have brought into my life. You grow everyday- but for me- you are always going to be my little bubbsie girl

so beyond that , what has been happening for last 3 months …hmm
jun 20th she has started preschool, and it has progressed great , she has new friends the names she usually utters are pitunia, aadhu,siddarth ,kirthik and some others which i cannot understand..
she talks a lot , plays a lot , unlimited energy, all her teeth are out i think … she loves jumping up and down sometimes on the bed , mostly on momma’s back …she likes flying and going round and round, cakes (chocolates) and real choci
she had a long bout of cold and clogged nose, you can blame my side of the family for that ,i think it lasted for 2 weeks and then she that went away

she loves drawing / doodling and now she can draw faces and today she has 2 scars on her leg which she calls as eyes and she draws imaginary nose and mouth.draws flowers , can do puzzles , matching matching, 5 x5 tiles of them, can count to 10 ,repeat alphabets with barney , oh i so hate him still.
just want to tell her this ….stop growing so fast ,and yes jumping ,pinching and scratching me hurts and i will shreik and shout NO ,,, that does not mean you cry and run to your mom

well let me get her developments in bullet points in no specific time order

a) you have 8 teeth at top and 4 more at bottom , never realized when it came because you are cranky all the time
b) you have lots of friends who keep coming home and taking you out and they recognize me as your dad
c) screaming in my ear has made me half deaf , of course your mom blames it on my age
d) you love dogs and every day i have to enact two dogs fighting each other with soft toys
e) you have moved out of rompers to pajamas
.) since its summer you like taking bath .. you know that word also
.) you have started scribbling on every thing that you can get and the floors … still havent touched the walls
.) we went to a party and you were well behaved
.) you eat mostly everything when you are in mood which is kinda rare
.) adamant , bossy , very loud
.) did i mention adamant
.) likes cycles , mud , water , slides ok ok, merry go round — meh
.) ran straight onto a wall when playing in the bedroom , banged , fell down then got up started running
.) had cold for a long time and had to give medicine with a mist sprayer
.) you know a lot of words and you are trying hard to talk with us with some strange gibbberish words like kaboodle kaboode kaboodi
.) you still look at stars and moon as soon as we go out in evening and ask us to sing twinkle twinkle
.)you have started liking softtoys and refuse to go out of house without taking one or 2 of them
.) you can throw a ball but not catch yet , kicking is great
.) you interact with absolute strangers and i like to stay back and watch it with great amusement
.) you poked mama’s eye with your nail and now its swelled up like a tabletennis ball , funny for a while, not after that ,

okay will add in once i remember more

if i havent mentioned shes adamant , then i have to add it. ADAMANT

sometime before that ,during playing her nose met the ground for the first time , and i guess it hurt a lot that she cried for a record 5 mins .. , still doesnot like the swings and slides , only prefers her growing collection of balls , which she has now progressed to throwing and kicking and will gladly offer to anyone in the park that she sees,only last 2 so far

she knows to operate the remote of the tv , as in she can switch it on and then randomly mash buttons till the channel changes to some loud music , in which she apparently dances ( nods her head and shakes her knee) , one good thing is that she likes animal planet and for some reason its the “bear ” week so she has now learnt those 2 words , bear and fish, lets see what animal planet comes up with next week

eating : anything and everything especially whatever i am eating ,and specially not the ones which we cook for her with a lot of effort , idlis , rotis , dosai , eggs , fish , mutton , rice , ragi , oats ,bananas and apples ( which reminds me , i really cannot take those nursery rhymes , way annoying )

sleeping , i reduced it once per day , i remember reading that at this stage one is not enough and 2 is more , but ever since i reduced to one , she just sleeps double the usual time , dont know what it was supposed to solve ,so thats that

oh z i totally forgot , momma did not stop a baby boy kissing you at the park ,i was not there or else i would have stopped it, all her fault

she knows basic words nowadays , recognizes butterfly , doesnt like swings and slides , prefers muds and balls , made a friend at park and was crying to leave him and come home , wow seriously! , wants to be independent and shrugs off her fingers and instead runs helter skelter on the roads and if she falls she pauses for a while and then gets up and runs again, my mind is always racing to the shortest route to the hospital when she runs …

have to get her some new cds , all the old ones are rhyming in my head and its soooo “bouncy bouncy ball ” should get ear plugs when i put them next

zoey turns one yay!
now she is a big girl and likes to be treated like one!so whats new? LOTS and lots of things,……
she walks yes, not walk but tries to run! Zoey has got lots of toys on her big day, from me, kippu, granny and uncle…. oh yes my friends too!

she has 5 teeth, which can bite well…

if she knows i am mad at her, she pretends to me mad at me! constantly shouts , scolds and blabbers.

She loves seeing other kids, and loves playing in the park with them, so we probably would send her to playskool maybe in the next 6 months.

She has learnt new words too,

ut dawn= up down
taik= take
faaa- fan
geeein =green
taanta= kanta(her nanny)
baw= ball

Z is becoming heavier, not good for my shoulders and papas’ back, ouch!
she loves cheese, watermelon,apple slices and marie biscuits….. in addition to bananas (her all time fav!)

she enjoys her new tricycle, and the pram is now folded and kept away!

theres lots more to share, but nothing comes to my tired and dead mind at night…. maybe papa shall post soon

The nights for me and papa have become nightmarish, she almost gets up 6-7 times at night, wailing, dont know for what. Its my wild guess that she is teething, coz that she has been for a while now….but we both are so sleep deprived, and i almost doze off at my desk at office
She has also become quite vocal, and points and babbles to everyone outside when we go strolling.
She now stands without support with great confidence, i am only dreading the day she starts to walk,
